Ambassadors May 2024

May 2024 has been a busy month for Ambassadors, Blood Cancer Advocates and the Leukaemia Foundation with awareness and advocacy activities undertaken across the country. Below are a few of the highlights for the month.

Welcoming Hon. Anna Bligh AC as our newest National Ambassador

Anna Bligh AC Leukaemia Foundation AmbassadorThe Leukaemia Foundation welcomes the Hon. Anna Bligh AC as our newest National Ambassador.

Ms Bligh joins a distinguished group of Australians (including prominent figures such as Barry Du Bois, Lyndey Milan OAM, Luke Brattan, Matthew Doyle, Urvi Majumdar, Briony Benjamin, Elle Halliwell, and Humphrey B. Bear) in our collective mission to combat blood cancer in all its forms.

Our Ambassador & Blood Cancer Advocate program brings together individuals who have been touched by blood cancer, either through personal diagnosis, the diagnosis of a loved one, or the devastating loss of someone dear to them. Together, we strive towards our shared goal of eliminating blood cancer’s impact on lives by 2035.

Hon. Anna Bligh AC presence will undoubtedly strengthen our efforts in raising awareness and support for blood cancer patients across the nation.

A special shoutout goes to our remarkable Leukaemia Foundation and World’s Greatest Shave Ambassadors who took part in some way this year, whether through cutting, colouring or shaving their hair to attendance at events and sharing across social media, your tireless efforts, fundraising endeavours, and relentless advocacy are the driving force behind this crucial campaign.
