From regular giver to lasting legacy: Greg takes his support one step further

In 2018, 60-year-old Greg Trigg was diagnosed with Myelodysplasia (MDS), a form of blood cancer. After being connected with the Leukaemia Foundation, he found a sense of community through a support group as he began treatment.

“I found [my] Leukaemia Foundation support group very helpful in informing me what the way forward looked like,” Greg recalls.

In 2022, he underwent a stem cell transplant and has been in remission ever since. Grateful for the support he received throughout his journey and wanting to give back, Greg became a Leukaemia Foundation regular giver.

The Leukaemia Foundation provided a great deal of support leading up to the transplant. Podcasts from people that had been through the process, a support officer, and help organising accommodation in Sydney for the period of the transplant all helped to ease the way.

To take his impact even further, Greg also decided to leave a lasting legacy through a gift in his Will to the Leukaemia Foundation.

Having received so much support from the Leukaemia Foundation and becoming aware of how much they help people on this journey, I could not help but contribute to their ongoing operations both through regular giving and a gift in my Will.
