Barry Du Bois is a much-loved Australian television presenter, designer and renovator, best known for his work on The Living Room.
Following his own blood cancer journey, Barry became a Leukaemia Foundation Ambassador, sharing his story to support and inspire others affected by blood cancer.
In this conversation, Barry will reflect on the moments that matter most, the meaning of legacy, and encourage us all to think about the values, memories and impact we hope to leave behind.

Alissa Bermingham
Philanthropy and Non-Profit Services Manager, Philanthropy & Not For Profit Services
Alissa is a philanthropy specialist providing guidance and support to individuals, families, and the for-purpose sector. With more than ten years’ experience in the for-purpose sector, her experience has been shaped by a background in fundraising consulting and capacity building.
Her work focuses on helping individuals and families make thoughtful, values-based decisions about their philanthropy, including supporting intergenerational giving and legacy planning. She also works with organisations to develop a clear understanding of the strategies that support sustainable funding and outcomes. Based in Brisbane, Alissa is part of Perpetual’s Philanthropy and Non-Profit Services team. She holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours – Classical Voice) and a Graduate Certificate in Communications.
