Edwina Bartholomew
Edwina Bartholomew is an Australian journalist with over 16 years’ experience working in television and radio. She is widely known for her role as resident entertainment and features reporter on the Seven Network’s breakfast program, Sunrise.
In 2024, Edwina’s world changed in an instant when she was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) – giving her a new perspective on life, motherhood and the importance of early health checks.
Edwina has a strong personal connection to regional and rural Australia through her family home in Carcoar NSW, which is why she is passionate about highlighting the unique challenges faced by people outside major cities when it comes to accessing timely care and support.
A proud mum of two, Edwina also wants to encourage women – particularly busy mothers – to prioritise their health and regular checkups, as it may just save their life.
As a cause that’s deeply personal to her, Edwina joined the Leukaemia Foundation as a National Ambassador in 2025.
My hope in this role is to work with the Leukaemia Foundation to assist in building a stronger network of care across Australia, so people feel supported not only at diagnosis, but throughout treatment, and once it ends. Living well after cancer is such an important thing.
