PhD Scholarships Program
The Leukaemia Foundation is helping more medical and science graduates pursue a research career in blood cancer by combining resources and working in partnership with Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ) to co-fund PhD research scholarships.
These prestigious doctoral scholarships are awarded to Australian applicants who demonstrate outstanding merit in blood cancer research. They are open to all areas of Australian research in blood cancers and blood cancer related disorders.
Applicantsโ work must align with a least one of the Leukaemia Foundationโs three research priorities:
- Implementation science
- Prevention, early detection, and diagnostics
- Therapies and treatment
The PhD scholarship program offers applicants โ early career scientists, allied health care professionals, nurses and haematologists โ a three-year scholarship with total funding of $150,000.
The PhD scholarship program is administered by HSANZ and uses its existing grants review and selection process with representation from the Leukaemia Foundation.
The selection criteria used by the HSANZ is based on National Health and Medical Research Council scoring.
