Non Hodgkin lymphoma vs Hodgkin lymphoma
Non Hodgkin lymphoma is more common than Hodgkin lymphoma.
Both are named after the scientist who discovered them.
Non Hodgkin lymphoma is most common in people over the age of 60. Whilst Hodgkin lymphoma is most common in young adults.
The type of cell involved and what it looks like under a microscope defines the type. Hodgkin lymphoma has Reed-Sternberg cells that look like an โowl eyeโ and usually originate from B lymphocytes. Non Hodgkin lymphoma usually originates from B or T lymphocytes, and natural killer (NK) cells.
