High energy radiation that destroys cancer cells.

bone marrow transplant
A procedure which replaces blood stem cells in people whose bone marrow has been destroyed by chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy.
alopecia
Hair loss. It can happen as a side effect of some chemotherapy or radiotherapy. It usually grows back after treatment ends.
