A diagnosis of leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or a related disorder can have a dramatic impact on a person’s life. At times it can be difficult to cope with the emotional stress involved.
The Leukaemia Foundation’s support services team can provide you and your family with much needed support during this time. We may refer you or a loved one to a specialist health professional, for example a Psychologist if required.
Our team comprises qualified health professionals. We make regular visits to each of the major haematology treating centres across the country to support people and their loved ones. If you would like to speak with one of us, be sure to let your nurse know and they can organise this for you.
You can also contact us direct, anytime to talk about the issues you are facing or just to let your feelings out in a safe and supportive environment. To speak with an experienced member of our support services team in your area, call 1800 620 420.
