The Leukaemia Foundation Annual Report 2021 captures a pivotal year of resilience, renewal, and digital transformation amid the ongoing challenges of COVID-19. Under new leadership with CEO Chris Tanti and Chair Lucio Di Giallonardo, the organisation reaffirmed its mission to achieve zero lives lost to blood cancer by 2035 through a Patient-First approach. Despite pandemic disruptions, the Foundation supported over 5,500 families through accommodation, financial assistance, and a newly launched digital support platform. It invested $1.98 million in 37 research projects, leveraged $4.4 million in partnerships, and co-led the National Strategic Action Plan for Blood Cancer—a landmark initiative shaping equitable care nationwide. Major fundraising events such as the World’s Greatest Shave ($17.6 million) and Light the Night ($1 million) continued to inspire national participation. With a restructured Board, renewed governance, and a strong financial position, the Foundation strengthened its advocacy, research, and patient-care impact, positioning itself for sustainable growth and leadership in Australia’s blood cancer response
