Request a Letter of Support
The Leukaemia Foundation may provide Letters of Support for researchers applying for external research funding where the proposed project aligns with our research and organisational priorities.
Please note that Letters of Support may confirm in-kind support only.
Any requests for financial support should be directed to our active grant opportunities.
How to request a Letter of Support
All requests must be submitted to [email protected]
Requests should be submitted at least 7 business days before the grant application deadline.
Your request should include:
- Your name, position and organisation/institution
- Grant opportunity, funding organisation and application deadline
- Project title and a brief summary of the proposed research
- Details of the support requested.
For example, if lived experience involvement is requested, please specify:
- the number of lived experience members sought
- any eligibility criteria (e.g. diagnosis, treatment type, demographic requirements)
- the required mode of participation (e.g. in-person/online)
- the frequency of engagement, expected time commitment and duration
- A brief explanation of why Leukaemia Foundation support is relevant to the project
- A specific Letter of Support template, if required by the funding organisation
If lived experience involvement is required before grant submission, please indicate this in your request. A minimum of 3 weeks’ notice is generally required to recruit suitable members and facilitate handover to your project team.
What happens after you submit a request?
Requests will be reviewed by our Research Team. We may consult with other relevant teams to determine whether the Leukaemia Foundation can provide the requested support.
We will contact you if we require any further information or clarification regarding your request.
