The Leukaemia Foundation Annual Report 2022 marks a year of renewal, progress, and purpose as the organisation launched its new Patient-First Strategy, a five-year roadmap to reach more Australians with blood cancer and move closer to the goal of zero lives lost by 2035. The Foundation strengthened clinical excellence through a new governance framework and national triage system, expanded emotional and practical support, and grew its reach via online information, podcasts, and support groups. It invested over $5 million across 45 research projects and advanced advocacy through the Set the Standard campaign and six new Optimal Care Pathways. Fundraising remained strong, with World’s Greatest Shave raising over $14 million and Light the Night engaging more than 3,000 participants. The organisation deepened its commitment to equity and reconciliation, launching its first Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan and initiating research into blood cancer among First Nations Australians. Despite a planned deficit, financial stability and strong partnerships positioned the Foundation for sustainable impact and continued leadership in the blood cancer community
