The Leukaemia Foundation’s $10 million Bridgestone Australia Village is in Adelaide’s north eastern suburbs.
Opened in October 2013, this purpose-built complex includes 15 two and three bedroom apartments, as well as recreational facilities including a games room, gym and children’s play area.
It has been designed specifically for the special needs of people staying there, taking into account factors such as a patient’s reduced immune function during treatment and the importance of creating a supportive and relaxing environment for families at such a difficult time.
The complex is within a 15 minute drive to both the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
The Leukaemia Foundation’s Head Office for South Australia is also located on-site, giving families immediate access to care and support.
