Fashion and High Tea for leukaemia cause
Wednesday, 18 June 2014
Join the Leukaemia Foundation Lockyer-Brisbane Valley Branch for an afternoon of culinary delights and couture on Saturday 21 June from 2pm to 4:30pm. The branch will host a high tea and fashion parade at the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre to raise funds to support patients impacted by leukaemias, lymphomas, myelomas and related blood disorders.
Leukaemia Foundation Branch President, Gayle Daetz, said the event is perfect for anyone who wants to take a little time out to indulge with family and friends.
“The event promises to be a fun afternoon, a great chance to spoil yourself and it’s all in support of the work of the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland,” Ms Daetz said.
“The high tea will be followed by a fashion parade showcasing clothing from Target Country Gatton, a performance by Brisbane vocalist Rochelle Beattie and performances by Dance Force Gatton dance school,” she said.
“There will be raffles and a lucky door prize donated by Target Country and all proceeds will go to the Foundation’s Lockyer-Brisbane Valley branch.”
The event is open to all and tickets cost $25. Pre-purchase tickets by June 13 at Gatton’s Shoes ‘R’ Us store or by contacting Ms Daetz on 0402 085 260.
The Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation and receives no ongoing government funding. The Foundation relies on the support of individuals, communities and businesses to fund medical research and provide free support services to patients and their families, including transportation, accommodation and counselling.
