Yes – The Leukaemia Foundation has DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status. All donations above $2 are tax deductible.
Your donation, made before June 30, helps ensure that the Leukaemia Foundation can continues its vital work providing support for Australians with blood cancer. You’ll be helping power accommodation and other practical services for regional families like Tilly’s who have to leave home for weeks, sometimes months, to access life-saving treatment in major cities.
Absolutely. You can claim the total amount donated throughout the financial year. If you give monthly to the Leukaemia Foundation, you can expect to receive a tax receipt in July detailing your combined contributions throughout the financial year.
Yes – the minimum is $2. There’s no upper limit, but your donation must be voluntary and not tied to any personal benefit (like a raffle ticket or merchandise).
Claiming a tax-deductible donation is easy. When you donate to the Leukaemia Foundation, you’ll be emailed a receipt shortly after your donation. Ensure you keep this in a safe place until it’s time to file your tax return. Then simply include the amount of the donation in the appropriate section of your return. If you’re unsure of where to enter the donation amount, consult the ATO’s instructions or seek help from a tax professional.
You can expect to be emailed your receipt shortly after your donation is processed. If you do not receive your receipt, please reach out to our friendly team on 1800 620 420 and they will be more than happy to resend you a copy.

Starting on the 28th May 2026, all donations made to the Leukaemia Foundation Tax Appeal, https://www.leukaemia.org.au/make-a-difference/give/tax-appeal/, will be matched dollar for dollar, up to a total of $40,000. The campaign will run for one week only – until either the allocation is exhausted, or midday AEST on 3rd June.
All donations above $2 are tax deductible.
The matching gift has been generously donated by the Julie Maas Charitable Trust and other generous supporters who have asked to remain anonymous. This group of Matching donors have agreed to match this campaign dollar for dollar up to $40,000. Their matched gift was received by the Leukaemia Foundation prior to the launch of this campaign.
