Grief and bereavement support services
Grief is a natural, powerful and human response to the loss of someone close to us.
We all experience grief differently and common emotions can include shock and disbelief, anger and sadness. We can help you understand your grief, talk through your feelings, connect with a support group or identify when an expert may be able to help. Our staff have backgrounds in nursing or allied health and are all experienced in offering support.
In some areas we host events that enable you to receive meaningful support in an informal setting. The sessions are designed for individuals and families who have experienced the loss of a loved one through leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or a related blood disorder.

Each year, we run Light the Night, a virtual event taking place in homes, hospital beds, and hearts of Australians all over the country. Everyone can take part in Light the Night — no matter where they live or how they’ve been impacted by blood cancer — by joining the virtual lantern lighting ceremony online.
On the night, thousands of families and friend groups come together to raise their lanterns in tribute to those facing their own blood cancer journey and to remember loved ones lost, who will live forever in our hearts.
