Our inspiring volunteers choose to donate their time, skills and technical knowledge, free of charge, to help the 35 Australians diagnosed with blood cancer each day.
We recognise the value of volunteering in all its forms and are committed to ensuring volunteer contributions to the Leukaemia Foundation are meaningful for everybody involved.
The 2014 MGSM Partnership Network survey showed volunteering is no longer focused on businesses giving money to charity, but using their particular knowledge and resources to address social problems. We create meaningful volunteering experiences for employees that can increase engagement, satisfaction and retention. Many organisations become an important part of our Volunteer Program through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that enable their employees to be involved in micro and skilled volunteering opportunities that help to beat blood cancers in Australia.
We’ve recently seen a welcome increase in the number of corporate volunteers from lots of different organisations, including Telstra, Hewlett Packard, GHD, Aon, NAB and Suncorp.
