Your Christmas giving brings families the relief they urgently need.

Your Christmas donation helps us be there for families like Riley’s

Riley wants to be a builder and a farmer when he grows up, just like his dad and his pop. When he was just 4 years old, Riley was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, a type of blood cancer.
Living in regional WA, he and his family had to urgently relocate to Perth to access the life-saving care he needed. It became their whole world for the next 15 months.
We drained our savings because we were paying for a house we weren’t living in.
Elysia, Riley’s Mum

The move put an enormous pressure on the family, as Riley’s parents gave up work to be by his side. Two incomes stopped, but the bills at home did not.
Little by little the weight grew heavier: the fear for Riley’s health, the distance from home and pressing hardest of all the question of how long the money would last.

No one should have to chose between cancer treatment and keeping a roof over their head.
Luckily, Riley’s family never had to make a choice, thanks to people like you.
The regional family had a place to stay at the Leukaemia Foundation Blood Cancer Centre in Perth. Close to Riley’s treating hospital, it became their home for the next 15 months. They never had to make the agonising choice between Riley’s care and spending their life savings.
What your Christmas donation helps make possible
- The emotional and practical support of a Supportive Care Case Manager.
- Vital accommodation next to treatment at no cost.
- Help with everyday costs, from travel to the bills back home.
Right now, 1 in 8 people with blood cancer are forced to delay, miss or cancel treatment because the cost of care becomes too much to carry.

This Christmas, your donation can help lift the weight of blood cancer.
Your gift today will make sure a family like Riley’s has accommodation close to their child’s treatment, at no cost, and the room to breathe that comes with it.
