NSW Career Establishment Grant - NSW & ACT
Information and Call for Nominations for 2008

The Leukaemia Foundation is pleased to announce that for the second year we are calling for nominations for a Career Establishment Grant to medical graduates who:

  • Have recently completed their post-graduate training in Haematology (FRACP and FRCPA)
  • Are taking up their first specialist appointment in Clinical or Research Haematology in a teaching hospital in NSW or the ACT.

It is anticipated that grant monies of $50,000/annum for a maximum period of three years will be awarded.

The Leukaemia Foundation invites nominations of suitable candidates from Heads of Department in Haematology at teaching hospitals in NSW and the ACT. The Career Establishment Grant should be used to foster the recipient’s scientific career in haematological malignancies and may be used to support research projects in basic, applied and translational research into the causes, treatment and care of people living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders. Applicants are encouraged to develop innovative approaches to haematological problems, especially in the areas of basic or fundamental research.

There will be ONE Career Establishment Grant awarded in 2008.
