Leukaemia Foundation scores a GOAL with Perth Glory Football Club

The Leukaemia Foundation in WA is delighted to be announced as one of two official charities for the Perth Glory Football Club and their 2006/07 season campaign.

The Charity Support Programme, through Glory in the Community, provides the Leukaemia Foundation with benefits, support and an increased profile in the community through its association with the Perth Glory.

Leukaemia Foundation’s General Manager in Western Australia, Peta Fillery is excited to be part of Glory’s team for the upcoming season.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for the two organizations to develop even stronger links within the Western Australian community. The Foundation’s agreement with Perth Glory will allow us to continue our work in providing support and patient services for the 14 Western Australians who are diagnosed with leukaemia and related blood disorders every week” said Peta.

Perth Glory will assist the Foundation with the provision of players to attend events and functions, autographed merchandise, and tickets to Perth Glory home games.

“One of Glory’s home games will also be promoted as the Foundation’s ‘Charity Support Day’ helping raise funds and awareness for Western Australian patients and their families. We are very excited about the relationship, especially with the confirmed signing of Socceroo Stan Lazaridis to the team” said Peta.

The other official charity with Perth Glory Football Club is the RSPCA.
