Tour De Lounge - Support the Leukaemia Foundation in the comfort of your own lounge room!

Tim ‘Grozzi’ Grozzman devised a fundraising initiative while his girlfriend (now wife) was being treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2010. To keep his mind occupied, Grozzi began cycling on his exercise bike while watching the Tour de France in his lounge room, which quickly became known as the Tour de Lounge.

In 2011 it had grown from a one man mission to a team of five, raising over $10,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. This year over 15 people have registered to be a part of Tour de Lounge and Grozzi along with the Leukaemia Foundation are urging others to get involved!

What:                                                   Tour de Lounge

When:                                                  30th June to 23rd July

Where:                                                  In a lounge room or gym near you!

Details and registration:               http://makingadifference.gofundraise.com.au/page/tdl

The Tour de Lounge peloton rider’s complete 1,000kms over the same period as the Tour de France, however there is also the 500km Roleurs Dream or the 250km Sprinters Cup. Riding will usually be carried out “Lounge style” (riding in front of the TV whilst the Tour de France is on) but regular road miles and gym miles are also acceptable.

Money raised from Tour de Lounge will help the Leukaemia Foundation support patients and their families affected by blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders.
