What:
2012 Sun Herald City to Surf presented by Westpac

Since 1971 Sydneysiders have been joined by participants from all over the world, elite athletes rubbing shoulders with locals to run, walk or watch the 14km race from Hyde Park in Sydney’s CBD to the finish at Bondi Beach.
Whether you’re a serious runner, jogger, walker, pusher or want to join in for the first time, don’t miss your chance to be a part of Sydney’s favourite sporting event. Entries will open in late May but Gold Charity Entries are open now. Similar to other famous runs, like the London Marathon, these entries are strictly limited and open now for registration.
GOLD CHARITY ENTRIES

The Sun-Herald
City2Surf presented by Westpac aims to raise much needed funds for charity. In 2011, the City2Surf introduced a special ‘gold charity entry’, perfect for those who would like to make fundraising the focus of their event experience. Similar to other famous runs, like the London Marathon, these entries are strictly limited.

What are charity entries?
On the day you’ll get to line up in your own designated Gold Charity start group with unique gold bibs, behind the Sun-Herald (Red) group and in front of Green starters in Park Street.
Please note, as places are limited, The Leukaemia Foundation choose to allocate the entries to runners on the strength of their commitment to fundraising. If they choose you as one of their Gold Entry runners they will require you to raise a minimum of $1000. The aim is to raise over $1.5 million through the gold charity entries.

As a Gold Charity entrant, your race pack will be available for collection from the exclusive Gold Charity booth at the City2Surf Event Expo.

For safety reasons, any pushers or wheelchair entrants who are Gold Charity runners must start from the Back of the Pack.

How do I apply for a charity entry?Contact Mark Rigby on 02 4228 5036 who will advise you if places are still available.

Other ways to fundraiseIf the Gold Charity entry isn’t for you, you can still choose to raise funds for The Leukaemia Foundation by setting up your own
oonline fundraising page. This is a simple way to be involved and have your friends and family donate. In 2011, more than $3.8 million was raised for various charities across the country.
