What an amazing night at the 'Swing into Action' Ball!
Around 300 guests at the Leukaemia Foundation's 'Swing into Action' Ball were treated to an amazing night of fine food, wine, fabulous prizes and entertainment in the beautiful Hilton Adelaide Grand Ballroom on the 31 October 2009.
International cabaret performer Tom Burlinson wooed the crowd at the stunning black tie ball, performing all of the big Sinatra hits with the support of the renowned South Australian Police Band.
The event was held to celebrate the launch of the Leukaemia Foundation's exciting SA Patient Accommodation Village project, which will commence construction next year.
A highlight of the evening was the first public reveal of the SA Village plans, including an animated 3D fly around of the village design. Guests also heard from Leukaemia Foundation ambassador and former Miss Universe Australia, Kimberley Busteed, who told of her family's personal blood cancer experience.
The crowd were keen to involved on the night, with guests vying for the opportunity to sing a duet with Tom Burlinson! The duet went for $3,000, with Leukaemia Foundation Board Director Lucio Di Giallonardo singing 'Come fly with me' in tune with Tom!
Another lucky gentleman, Patrick Coope, was generous enough to part with $1,000 to have the first dance of the night with Kimberley.
