Current Funding Opportunities
Change to research funding in 2015-16
Since the Leukaemia Foundation implemented its National Research Program in 2005, we have injected more than $38million into the work of Australia’s best blood cancer researchers thanks to the generous support of the Australian community.
Our focus on sustainable stewardship of resources causes us to carefully consider our program each year in light of market conditions in the short to medium term. In doing so this year, we have reached the conclusion that we are unlikely to award new research grants in the 2015-16 financial year. While this is disappointing, we are pleased to confirm that our research funding of continuing grants next financial year will be $3.3million. In addition to this expenditure, we have committed funding through to 2019.
