HBF Run for a Reason, this May

Each year thousands of people of all ages flood the streets of Perth's CBD in the city’s biggest community running and walking event, the HBF Run for a Reason.

Everyone is out to get active but they are also raising money for their chosen charity and we need you to register and then join the Leukaemia Foundation fundraising team. If you raise a minimum of $50, you will also go in the draw to win a Fitbit Flex!

Designed to meet your fitness capabilities, there are 4km, 12km or 21km courses as well as  family friendly, scenic routes to entertainment zones.

Join the Leukaemia Foundation’s HBF Run for a Reason fundraising team and make your stadium steps count for families impacted by a blood cancer.

New York City Marathon, November 2016
New York City is home to the greatest road marathons in the world and if completing a marathon is on your ‘to do’ list, then how about bringing it to fruition in The Big Apple?

You can visit one of the world’s most legendary cities while helping people who need practical and emotional support through the Leukaemia Foundation's New York City Marathon, people like Joe Anderson (pictured above), who recently lost his dad to leukaemia.

Joe has been actively fundraising since his dad passed away and is keen to help make a difference to other families in a similar situation to what he experienced.

Having played football and rugby all his life, Joe says he has never run more than 800 yards in one go, but nevertheless, he decided to sign up for the Leukaemia Foundation’s New York City Marathon on November 6.

Excited to be a part of the team, Joe admits to feeling nervous.

“After my dad passed away from leukaemia all I could think was, if I don’t do the Leukaemia Foundation’s New York City Marathon now with the connection I have to blood cancer, then I never will,” said Joe.
