Great opportunities to Get Your Blood Pumping for Blood Cancer

Publish Date: 14/4/2016

It’s time to dust off the running shoes, pull your stationary bike out of storage and gather all your family and friends to Get Your Blood Pumping for Blood Cancer.

Whether you are a serious runner, jogger, walker or cyclist, this is your chance to join more than 250 people across New South Wales who, each year, take on one of the many physical challenge events to raise funds to support the work of the Leukaemia Foundation.

The idea of a physical challenge such as the City2Surf , Tour de Lounge or New York Marathon can be incredibly intimidating, especially on your own.

This is why we have dedicated staff to support you along your journey, similar to how our Blood Cancer Support Coordinators are there for people living with blood cancer.

Team Coordinator, Marianne Timbrell, (pictured left) says some people take on a physical fundraising challenge because of a personal blood cancer story while others are simply looking for a way to make the lives of others a little easier.

Regardless of their motivation, working with fundraisers always brings a special smile to Marianne’s face.

“I always find people who fundraise such a huge inspiration. The personal commitment that each person makes is such a great way to enjoy and participate in life. We have so many passionate people who choose to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation,” said Marianne.

“I’m lucky enough to be someone who gets to help you make your experience more fun, rewarding and to help create an experience for you that you will long remember.  As a fundraiser you are not just trudging the miles that your feet take you, but helping us to raise valuable funds and make a real difference to the lives of people living with blood cancer.”

If you have ever thought about embarking on one of these physical personal challenges or, if you have a challenge of your own that you would like to pursue, we’d love to have you on our team. Call Marianne on 1800 620 420 or visit getyourbloodpumping.com today.
