Are you our next Volunteer Driver?
Publish Date: 7/7/2017
The Leukaemia Foundation Courtesy Transport Service is now actively recruiting volunteer drivers for Melbourne, Shepparton and Launceston.
The Courtesy Transport Service is one of the support services available for people with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders. The transport is available at no cost to patients and is made possible by the sponsorship of Holden, Bridgestone, RACV and Gandel.
Holden Commodores are based in five different locations in Melbourne. There is one vehicle in Shepparton and one vehicle in Launceston.
The service runs from Monday to Friday from 0800 – 1700.
If you would like to be involved in this wonderful service by donating your time to driving people to and from appointments please call the Transport Coordinator for VIC / TAS, Julie Giblett, on 03 9949 5808. Julie would love to tell you all about this great service and how it operates and discuss your possible participation in the program.
The Leukaemia Foundation’s transport service is a cornerstone of our support program.
As a fully trained volunteer driver, you will offer a friendly smile and a helping hand to people undergoing treatment, which helps to ease any anxiety they may be feeling.
Please note you must be over 25 years old.
