    The Leukaemia Foundation joined forces with Myeloma Australia today to increase consideration of the needs people with blood cancer in health policy making at a special parliamentary breakfast in Canberra, sharing the results new research showing that more than 40 per cent of Australians with blood cancers have tried to access new medicines that are not subsidised in Australia, with the vast majority unsuccessful in their attempts.

    A clinical trial saved the life of 28 year old volunteer fire fighter Amy, the last option after other treatments for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia had failed. Please give what you can to our Research Appeal by June 30 so that we can continue to fund urgent research in the hope that one day, everyone diagnosed with blood cancer can be cured.
